Gloucester Rd is a street in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea of London. It runs north-south between Kensington Gardens and the Old Brompton Road, at the South end.
At the tube station of Gloucester Rd, one will see lots of adorable shops, pubs, restaurants and hotels.
Gloucester Rd itself is a wonderful busy area in Kensington.
For those of you who arrive early for your tour, why not have a coffee, croissant or pastry from the many number of coffee shops located directly across from the station exit.
Gloucester Rd is named after Maria, Duchess of Gloucester and Edinburgh who built a house here in 1805.
The area is now one of the more luxurious parts of London, with many beautiful homes and apartments nearby. Many businesses are located here too who thrive in this prosperous area.
Here at Day Tours London, we believe in having one departure point only.
Our pick up point and drop off point is at Gloucester Rd Tube Station, which is located in Kensington, London.
We state to our customers to check in at 7.45 am approximately and our departure time is at 8 am sharp.
We feel one pick up point is necessary in order to allow for a speedy exit out of London.
This means less time for you- our customers on the bus, and more time for touring!
Our tour guides wait directly outside the exits of the tube station at Gloucester Rd.
There is also an ample shelter area if you find that it could be raining on the morning of your tour. You can wait just inside the door of the station. However, do keep a watchful eye out for your tour guide who may be looking for you.
We look forward to seeing you on any one of our tours, to either; Stonehenge, Bath & English Countryside or Oxford, Stratford & Cotswold’s Discovery.
