BATH – WORLD HERITAGE CITY!

The city of Bath is unmissable on any trip to England. A Day Trip to Bath and Stonehenge is highly recommended by most major guide books. Bath was recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site in 1987. The city was founded in the first century AD by the Romans, who used the natural hot springs as a spa. Visitors to Bath cannot fail to be impressed by the grand buildings of the city. Bath Abbey is the gem in the heart of the city, surrounded by beautiful streets of grand Georgian houses intersected by crescents and squares. This amazing city is set within a stunning green valley, and is picture perfect. Visitors are amazed by the site of the Pultney bridge, crossing the River Avon, which reminds many visitors of Venice.

batH CITY

When we get to Bath, you will have ample time to explore this ancient city. The Roman baths were one of the most famous hot springs in Europe. Nowadays the Roman structure is long gone and the current buildings were constructed in Georgian times. There are Roman ruins and an impressive Georgian structure. You may choose to visit the current exhibition (not included) or to spend the time exploring the many other sites of this beautiful city.

We will take you on a short driving tour to see some of the fine streets of Georgian Bath and to view the Royal Crescent. We will recommend the best places for sightseeing, shopping, eating and drinking! Bath is a wonderful city, and your guide will be on hand to offer advice and make sure you can make the most of your time! Why not try some local cider in one of the famous pubs?
