AVEBURY & LACOCK VILLAGE

We travel through some of the most beautiful countryside in England. You will enjoy passing through small traditional villages and lush countryside. Your guide will tell you stories about life in England, and will make sure you enjoy the journey.  Our drivers know some beautiful roads with great countryside views. We will pass through rural areas of Wiltshire and Somerset. Somerset is famous for its local cider, and relaxed pace of life. This part of England is fondly known as the West Country!

On our small-group tour, we have time to get off the main roads and really experience rural England.

We will have a brief stop at Avebury, which although less famous than Stonehenge, is just as important and historic.  At this quieter site, you can walk among the stones and marvel at this 5000 year old site.

We will enjoy a stop at the preserved village of Lacock, which is featured in many films and television programmes.

BATH WORLD HERITAGE CITY

The city of Bath is unmissable on any trip to England. A Day Trip to Bath and Stonehenge is highly recommended by most major guide books. Bath was recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site in 1987. The city was founded in the first century AD by the Romans, who used the natural hot springs as a spa. Visitors to Bath cannot fail to be impressed by the grand buildings of the city. Bath Abbey is the gem in the heart of the city, surrounded by beautiful streets of grand Georgian houses intersected by crescents and squares. This amazing city is set within a stunning green valley, and is picture perfect. Visitors are amazed by the site of the Pultney bridge, crossing the River Avon, which reminds many visitors of Venice.
