Cotswolds Villages Small Group Day Tour!

Step into the rural charm of the Cotswolds countryside, visiting three of England’s most beautiful villages. Departing from London, this small group, fully-guided tour is the perfect way to explore the English countryside. Our relaxed itinerary makes for a slow-paced, intimate experience. Travel in comfort, admiring the scenery while you enjoy commentary from our expert guides about stories of country life and the fascinating history of the area.

Designated an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Cotswolds has some of the most amazing landscape and views in all of England. Its rolling hills and patchwork fields are dotted with charming little villages for you to discover. Together, we will visit three of the Cotswolds’ most famous destinations: Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Bibury. Leave London behind and venture into the English countryside on our Cotswolds Villages tour.

Burford

First is Burford, known as “the gateway to the Cotswolds”. It is one of the most loved villages in England, having been a thriving tourist destination for over 75 years. With chocolate-box cottages lining the historic high street, it is the perfect place for a relaxing stroll and memorable photo. You can also visit the Church of St John the Baptist, a Grade I listed building that began construction in the 12th century. This village is calm, quiet and shows you what life in the Cotswolds is really like.

Bourton-on-the-Water

Next, we head to Bourton-On-The-Water, called “the Venice of the Cotswolds”. Here, you will find the pretty River Windrush snaking through the village centre, with five stone footbridges. Browse the handmade products in the local shops for your perfect souvenir, or enjoy a light bite in a traditional pub. Explore the charming streets of stone houses, marvel at the Model Village, or take a relaxing stroll along the banks of the Windrush. Your guide will make recommendations on what to do so you can make the most of this lively town with so much to enjoy.

Bibury

The last stop of the day is Bibury, called “the most beautiful village in England” by Victorian designer William Morris! Here you can find the famous Arlington Row, weavers’ houses dating back to the 1300s and now a protected historic site. They feature in the British passport and their charm has made them a selfie-spot of Instagram fame. Bibury is even one of the top wedding destinations in England! Understandably, this pretty village has become an icon for the Cotswolds. Learn about the history of Rack Isle and Arlington Mill, visit the Trout Farm for a light bite, then take photos as you wander along the beautiful River Coln.

We depart from the Cotswolds at 3:30pm and make our way back to London, dropping you back at the starting point near Gloucester Road Station around 5:30pm. This tour lasts approximately 8.5 hours – a day of peaceful sightseeing with time in the evening to enjoy London. Book your tour now to join us as soon as possible.
