STONEHENGE TOUR
WE INCLUDE FULL PRIORITY GROUP ADMISSION TO THE STONEHENGE SITE, INCLUDING EXHIBITION & VISITOR EXPERIENCE. NOT ALL TOURS INCLUDE THIS: VALUED AT OVER £20!
Constructed during the Neolithic period by Stone Age farmers, this site is a place of unique importance. On arrival you will be given an audio guide which will tell you more about the mystery of Stonehenge and its significance. Marvel at the size of the stones, and imagine Stone-Age people working together to put this impressive monument in place. Enjoy the exhibition, which offers some possible explanations for the existence of Stonehenge, and interprets the Stone Age and what life was like at that time.
After we depart from Stonehenge, we travel through some of the most beautiful countryside in England and small traditional villages. Your guide will tell you stories about life in England, and will make sure you enjoy the journey. Our drivers know some beautiful roads with great countryside views. We will pass through rural areas of Wiltshire and Somerset. Somerset is famous for its local cider, and relaxed pace of life. This beautiful part of England is fondly known as the West Country!
BATH CITY TOUR
Our next stop is the city of Bath, which is unmissable on any trip to England. Your guide will offer a complimentary walking tour of Bath, which was recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site in 1987. The city was founded in the first century AD by the Romans, who used the natural hot springs as a spa. You will have time to visit the Roman Baths exhibition if you wish (not included). Visitors to Bath cannot fail to be impressed by the grand buildings of the city.
Bath Abbey is the gem in the heart of the city, surrounded by beautiful streets of grand Georgian houses intersected by crescents and squares. This amazing city is set within a stunning green valley, and is picture perfect. Visitors are amazed by the site of the Pultney bridge, crossing the River Avon, which reminds many visitors of Venice. For literature lovers, you may choose to visit the Jane Austen Museum.
Bath offers something for everyone, and our relaxed itinerary offers about 2.5 hours to enjoy the city. You may wish to spend some time having lunch, or our guide will suggest “on the go” options to allow you more time for sightseeing! We will ensure you have an amazing time in Bath!
