We also spend the afternoon in Oxford, with a chance to see the famous buildings of this world-famous university city. An essential day trip from London!

COTSWOLDS

We take a drive through one of England’s most scenic areas, the Cotswolds, admiring the breathtaking scenery on the way. Enjoy views of the beautiful countryside and admire thecharming villages along the drive. This area is protected as an area of outstanding natural beauty.  You will see many typical villages and stunningviews of the landscape.  Unlike many other tours, we stop in two of the beautiful villages.

We will enjoy an hour exploring Bourton-On-The-Water.  Known as the Venice of the Cotswolds,  this is one of the most loved villages in England.  With picutre-perfect buildings situated along beautiful river channels, it is a place you will never forget.

We will also stop for photos and a stroll at Bibury, our most loved Cotswolds village! William Morris described Bibury as “the most beautiful village in England” and it is easy to see why! You will be amazed by it’s beauty.  We know you will love it!

Our guides are hand-picked for their knowledge and friendliness. On the journey through the Cotswolds the tour is fully guided, and we will share stories and folklore from the region with you. You may be surprised by some of the secrets of the Cotswolds region. All our groups agree, that the magical Cotswolds area is one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Oxford

Onward to Oxford, where we will give you at least 2.5 hours to enjoy the most famous university city in the world. On our journey towards Oxford, your guide will be telling you the best places to see. A walk among the beautiful buildings of Oxford will leave you inspired. Your guide will suggest a walking route among the beautiful ancient buildings of the University, and point out some nice colleges to visit. Oxford is known as the City of Dreaming Spires, and you will understand why as you admire the architecture.

We will choose a walking route which will allow you to see some of the most famous places of interest in the city, including the Bridge of Sighs, Christchurch Cathedral, Bodleian Library Radcliffe Camera and the many impressive college buildings. Your guide will tell you of the connection between Oxford and Alice in Wonderland, and also its association with Harry Potter. Consider visiting the amazing Ashmolean Museum which has unique art and archaeology, and it is free to visit! There are many great places to eat or drink, maybe even have a drink in the local haunted pub, much loved by scholars and academics alike.  We depart Oxford at 4pm and make our way back to London.
