Small-Group Cotswolds Full Day Tour From London!

Discover the beauty of the Cotswolds! Departing from London, this small group guided tour is the perfect way to explore the English countryside, known for its stunning scenery and picturesque villages. Designated an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Cotswolds has some of the most amazing views in all of England and is full of quaint little villages brimming with history and selfie-worthy photo spots.

Travel in comfort, admiring the landscape while you enjoy commentary from our expert guides about stories of country life and the fascinating history of the area. Together, we will visit four of the Cotswolds’ most famous landmarks: Bampton, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Bibury.

Bampton

The first stop of the day is in Bampton, one of the oldest villages in England. Many of its pretty little cottages date from the 17th and 18th centuries, making it the perfect film location for the television show Downton Abbey. Although set in Yorkshire, much of the filming happened here, making the church, hospital, pubs and shops recognisable to any who have seen the show. Visitors can enjoy the West Ox Arts Gallery, charming shops and cafes, and St Mary’s Church.

Burford

Next is Burford, one of the most loved villages in England, known as the gateway to the Cotswolds. With picture-perfect buildings situated along a historic street, it is the perfect place for photos and a relaxing stroll. It is also home to the historic St John the Baptist church, over 500 years old and one of the top 10 most visited churches in the country.

Bourton-on-the-Water

Our third stop is Bourton-on-the-Water, called the Venice of the Cotswolds thanks to the beautiful River Windrush that runs through the centre of the village, crossed by five low-arched stone bridges. Find your perfect souvenir in the sweet little local shops, or enjoy a traditional cream tea in the many friendly cafes. Explore the charming streets of traditional yellow brick houses, marvel at the miniaturised Model Village, or take a relaxing stroll along the banks of the Windrush.

Bibury

The last stop of the day is at Bibury, known as “the most beautiful village in England”! Home to the famous Arlington Row, once local weavers’ houses and now a selfie-spot with Instagram fame, Bibury is one of the most popular wedding venues in England thanks to its beauty. Learn about the history of Rack Isle and Arlington Mill, then take photos as you walk along the beautiful River Coln. Admiring the picturesque traditional houses, it is easy to understand how this beloved village has become an icon for the Cotswolds.
