Bath

The afternoon stop is the city of Bath, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city was founded almost two thousand years ago by the Romans, who made the public baths using the natural hot spring water. It was later redeveloped by the Georgians in the 1700s, creating the beautiful streets lined with honey-coloured houses. This gorgeous architecture has made Bath an ideal filming location for 1700s-era dramas, including the Netflix romance series Bridgerton. Your guide will point out various film locations on the walking tour around the city centre.

The walking tour of Bath is included in the price of your tour and shows you the main attractions in the heart of Bath. These include: the Roman Baths Museum, Bath Abbey, Pulteney Bridge, Guildhall Market and the Royal Crescent. If you would like to visit the Roman Baths Museum, you can purchase tickets at the door but we recommend online in advance. Literature lovers will also love the Jane Austen Centre or Mary Shelley’s House of Frankenstein Museum.

With our relaxed itinerary, you will have 2.5 hours to enjoy the city – enough time for both lunch and sightseeing. Walking Time: Approximately 2 minutes walk from Gloucester Road Underground Station. Reachable by the Circle line, District line and Piccadilly line. The meeting point is opposite the ststion near Burger King!

Journey

  • Approximately 2 hours journey time to the Stonehenge site.
  • Approximately 1 hour journey time from Stonehenge to the city of Bath.
  • Approximately 3 hours journey time from Bath back to your pickup location in London.

Time

  • 7:00am Depart from Gloucester Road. There will be a short stop at services on the way to Stonehenge for your comfort.
  • 9:30am (approx.) Be among the first tour groups to arrive at the Stonehenge site.
  • You have a total of at least 1.5 hours to spend at Stonehenge. Enjoy the monument, the landscape and the visitor centre. Your tour guide will distribute your admission tickets which allow you access to the Stonehenge site. We include the shuttle bus straight to the monument upon arrival. We recommend taking the shuttle bus directly to the stones to beat the crowds.
  • 11:00am Depart from Stonehenge. Travel through beautiful countryside to Bath.
  • 12.15pm (approx.) Arrive in Bath. Optional walking tour through Bath takes about 45 minutes.
  • 3:00pm Leave Bath. Journey back to London takes around 3 hours, depending on traffic.
  • 6:00pm (approx.) Arrive London, tour finishes.
