Stonehenge

Construction of Stonehenge began almost 5000 years ago during the Stone Age by Neolithic farmers in Britain. It has remained an incredibly sacred and unique place ever since and is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.

This tour has great value, including your admission to the Stonehenge site, valued at £25. With the price of your tour, you get access to the monument, shuttle bus, visitor centre and exhibition. Oxford

In the afternoon is Oxford, one of the most famous university cities worldwide. People come from all over to see the most stunning architecture, see the colleges and explore the attractions. Oxford is often called “the City of Dreaming Spires”, thanks to its many gothic-style buildings that make up the university. You will have at least 2.5 hours to enjoy the city, with an optional walking tour and free time for sightseeing.

The route of the walking tour is designed to show you the most famous places of interest as your guide shares the rich history of the city. Some of the sights include: the Sheldonian Theatre, the Bridge of Sighs, the Bodleian Library, the Radcliffe Camera and many impressive colleges – over 36 in total! For those wishing to explore inside the university, your guide will suggest the best buildings to visit. Tickets to do so are available online and we recommend booking in advance to secure your spot.

Oxford has much to offer besides the colleges. There are many connections to film and literature, like Harry Potter filming locations and the official Alice in Wonderland shop. Also, you can visit some of the amazing museums, like Ashmolean, Pitt Rivers, or Natural History Museum. Have lunch in a local restaurant or grab something from the Covered Market, then take a stroll in the Botanic Gardens or Christchurch Meadow. Oxford has so much to offer!

Journey

  • Approximately 1.5 hours journey time to the Stonehenge site.
  • Approximately 1.5 hours journey time from Stonehenge to the city of Oxford.
  • Approximately 2 hours journey time from Oxford back to your pickup location in London.

Time

  • 7:30am Depart from South Kensington. There will be a short stop at services on the way to Stonehenge for your comfort.
  • 9:30am (approx.) Be among the first tour groups to arrive at the Stonehenge site.
  • You have at least 1.5 hours to spend at Stonehenge. Enjoy the monument, the landscape and the visitor centre. Your tour guide will distribute your admission tickets which allow you access to the Stonehenge site. Enjoy a walk or shuttle bus straight to the monument upon arrival. We recommend taking the shuttle bus directly to the stones to beat the crowds. The walk from the visitor centre to Stonehenge takes approximately 30 minutes.
  • 11:30am Depart from Stonehenge from the coach park, travel through beautiful countryside to Oxford.
  • 1:00pm (approx.) Arrive in Oxford. Optional walking tour through Oxford takes about 45 minutes.
  • 4:00pm Depart from Oxford. Journey back to London takes around 2 hours, depending on traffic.
  • 6:00pm (approx.) Arrive in London, tour finishes.

  • Arrive back in London at approximately 6:00pm to be dropped off at your starting location, just by the Natural History Museum.
